Summer Climb 2k13
Cebu, Philippines. 4.21.13.
Climb at Mt. Kan-Irag - as being wished for, I've always wanted to be part of this activity. River trekking to Guadalupe Shrine in CDO was my last outdoor gig 5 years ago with the XU College of Engg. I was so happy when I received an email confirmation from Accenture Outdoor Club 3 days before the climb.
Here are some pictures taken my colleagues Sly, Syndy and Ervie. It was an all time summer experience. Akala ko nga di na ako makapag break, salamat Lord. hehe! I do not know exactly how many kilometers we have walked that day but all I know is that we started walking around 8 am uphill from Talamban until 2 PM exiting at Doce Pares Lahug, Cebu. The first hour was a fine walk under the fair weather, and you could hear everyone chit chatting about how excited they were to see the waterfalls and the river. Uhmm..well, akala nyo lang yon..haha! Honestly I have no idea where to go, just follow the pack, lol! I started to smell the grasses and when I looked back, I could not see those houses anymore from the village where we left off to start our trekking. The trail was quite slippery because it rained last night, my legs were actually shaking when we were going down hill. It seemed that at any moment you'll go rolling down the cliff if you're not careful of your steps. Matud pang Ervie: Ma appreciate nimu imung life nga buhi paka. Nice motto. lol! At some point I met a cow and at this age I realized I am still scared of cows. T_T loser mode. Nobody minded the time, what everyone cared about was where's the end of the road? A concrete road to be exact. I bet everyone has prepared their insurance just in case, haha! I'm just kidding. When you climb uphill you have to crawl and go against gravity, that's why you have to do the Sadako walk. ahahah! We climb boulders, we were at the edge of the cliff, slippery moments and flowery moments too, hehe! I saw daisies and chrysanthemum farm. The area is too small for a farm, but well, OK, farm it is.
Finally the waterfalls! I told you..lol! I don't understand why the water is green with algae. Tsk2x. As soon we had a stop over, I ate all the food I can eat inside my bag and it seemed that I finished that bottle of Gatorade in just one gulp. I'm so hungry and thirsty!!!
Thanks Syndy, Sly and Ervie for the Photos ^_^ |
Not a bit later, siguro mga 2 hours. haha! We were at the top. That wasn't the peak, I don't really know what that place is called but I think that is part of Lahug already. I feel so light weight. If you look at the city scape from above, you feel like flying! hahays! Time to eat lunch...
I thought It's gonna rain because I saw the fogs came running just right above our head. It was my first time to actually see fogs right in front of me. Childish T_T . I was hoping I could actually hold something in my hands, like a feather or something, but they just run across you like ghost and it's misty cold inside the foggy space. It feels good..hmmmm ^_^
I see the concrete road now, I think the trip is over...
