The Liberation of a Feminist
I almost want to become one of the male kind. I read tales of knights in shinning armor to rescue the damsel in distress, quests of Kings and Princes, and of course who doesn't know Zeus? It seems that they are the master of the world. Then... when I look at the mirror on my birthday suit, the aforementioned ambition is a hopeless case. hahaha! Not unless a genie would grant my wish, lol!
The image of "man" even in religious aspect has always been the powerful and the wise. I don't want to be blasphemous but in my insecure state of gender equality, I definitely object. One time I talked to the museum curator, I presented him a study of my piece for our next exhibit and guess what he said - I bet you'll be wearing a new school uniform the next day.. haha! The problem with school exhibit rules is it always violates the artist's freedom, like duh, I don't wanna elaborate the boredom of essential manners and right conduct under Jesuit premise. As a Surrealist, I demand freedom of thought!! Ahhh, well again I was still a student back then with a childish collaboration of mind and emotion. Sheesh...
In my sophomore year, I wrote a study of "Witchcraft as a primitive religion"... I wasn't becoming an "atheist", I had just an open mind - what if it was Magdallene who died on the cross? Would the bible be as historical as the Old Testament, Lol! When I love the things I do, it is easy for me to explore the things I want to know, plus the benefit of freedom.. ahhh yes, freedom.. The semester was over. I wish I could continue my writing about facts of femininity coz I was able to understand the strongest and weakest point of being a woman. In contradictory to its title, my study presented the evolution of womanhood in the society; her assets, skills and that being a woman is not an economic liability.
In it's true nature, it is the woman who gives life and nurture her young ones to be as strong as her. In its true nature, it is the woman that is wise, forgiving and loyal to her territory. The very obvious reason why I'm writing this is for us to greet our mothers on a very special occasion - Mother's Day. Being a mother means everything to every woman there is. Having a child to play with and talk with dreams and fantasies is a gift of Love. Love your mother as much as you love yourself because they are our walking wisdom dictionary that guides us to goodness.

To all moms in this planet
Happy Mother's Day!
To my mama Lani
Be happy on the day that the angel came... we became mothers.
I love you.
