Ang Bakhawan

6.23.13. Cotcot Lilo-an Cebu.

As an official "Cebuana", I feel the responsibility of the preservation of the culture and protecting the mother nature for "she" is where I live now. It was my first time to participate in a mangrove tree growing activity where I have to plant the little ones in a sandy muddy shore. I've seen a  lot of hermit crabs, like duh!yeah I feel so ignorant, what does a city girl know about aquatic creatures, I've only seen them on National Geographic. But yeah, I enjoyed watching them, ehehehe! The project was initiated by the Coastal Conservation Foundation and Education Inc. and we are very happy to be part of such activity... and me , hoping to have a green and fresh environment for my child in the near future. ^__^

Oh yeah, that's me... Right there below, haha! Murag true. I don't have a green thumb but I was praying they all will survive the tide. In the next 10 years, the mangroves will provide shelter for the fishes and protect the city against the tidal erosion... (pardon my terms, I am not a marine expert. lol!)
